Celebrate our volunteers
National Volunteer Week is April 15 through 21. The Solon library is fortunate to have an active and dedicated group of volunteers. Volunteers fill positions on the library board, the friends of the library board and the library foundation board. These groups provide guidance in policy-making and strong support in year-round fund raising activities. Additional volunteers help with the daily activities within the building, including checking overdue notices, preparing crafts, helping with summer programs and cleaning the DVD collection. Outside, volunteers can be found assisting with the landscaping, planting and tending flower beds and flower pots.
