The Solon High School Theatre Department presented “Shakespeare’s Shorts,” a whimsical, condensed version of three of the Bard’s plays, April 20-22 at the Solon Middle School auditorium.
Three high school students, Bill, Janie and Sophie, are writing a paper for their English class, when suddenly characters from Shakespeare’s plays start appearing in Sophie’s living room. Three plays were presented in the one-hour show– “Hamlet,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”– all told using Shakespeare’s actual words combined with modern language for a fast and funny interpretation.
