Younkers Community Day Booklets

The Spanish Club is selling Younkers Community Day booklets to help fund the Panama trip. The cost of a booklet is $5. It includes a $10 off coupon, a 20 percent off shopping pass and a 30 percent off early bird coupon. Customers can select merchandise beginning Sunday, Nov. 6, (with community days being Nov. 11 and 12). No waiting in lines. All booklet sales benefit the Panama student travelers. Non-Public Transportation Reimbursement
This is a reminder to families who qualify for non-public transportation reimbursement that forms must be filed in the central office no later than Dec. 1, for first semester reimbursement and May 1, 2012, for second semester reimbursement. Forms are available at the Iowa Department of Education website: http://educateiowa.gov/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1257&It... They may also be picked up in the district central office. Failure to submit request by the above deadlines each semester will result in the denial of the reimbursement request for the claim period.

SCSD public flu shot clinic
The last opportunity to receive your flu shot is Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 4-6 p.m. at the Lakeview kindergarten commons. The clinic is open to the general public for any individual 6 months of age or older. The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) will bill Medicare Part B, Medicare Replacement Policies and Blue Cross. You must have your card at the clinic. Cash/Check price is $27 for the Flu Vaccine or $33 for the FluMist. Call Kris Elijah, school nurse, with questions, 624-3401 x1288. Sponsored by the VNA.

School picture makeup
Lifetouch Photography will return to Solon schools on Friday, Oct. 28, to take pictures of students who were absent on the original picture day or for any students who need to have their picture retaken. Please remember to bring the original picture envelope to return to the photographers. The photographers will start at Lakeview at 8:30 a.m., then go to the middle school at 10:30 a.m. and lastly to the high school around 1:30 p.m. Depending on the number of retakes they could be running either ahead or behind on tentative schedule.
