Decorated trees will start arriving at the library by the end of the week for the annual Habitat for Humanity Tree Decorating Contest. Trees should arrive between Nov. 10-15. The tree display will be in the reading area at the west end of the library this year. If you are planning to enter a tree, entry forms are now available at the library. Entry fee is $5 per tree. The contest is open to all individuals, families, clubs and businesses in the community.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place as well at the Humanity Award. Trees will be judged for placement by the tree committee. The newly formed tree judging committee will take the place of the public vote from previous years. The community will vote for the Humanity Award.
A silent auction will be held for the trees through noon, Dec. 10. All proceeds will benefit Solon Habitat for Humanity.
