IOWA CITY– The Iowa City Community School District Family Music Pass is the best deal in town. For only $20, enjoy over 45 different musical performances– from rock and roll to classical, and everything in between.
The pass covers the end-of-trimester performances of the choirs, concert bands and orchestra of City and West high schools, all three junior high schools (North Central, Southeast and Northwest) and the east and west side elementary bands and orchestras. Passes are available to anyone in the community, not just families of students. By attending the performances from now to next spring, audiences will see the growth in musicianship and excitement of the students as they develop their skills.
For $20, you will receive two passes, which admit all members of a family to the concerts, including grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and even an old college roommate. Passes are good for all of the concerts. (Passes will not be honored at special events such as the City and West Orchestra Dessert Concerts, Show Choir Shows, City-High Jazz Showcase or West High Sounds of the Stadium and Jazz Café).
Passes will be on sale all year, available at the beginning of each concert. Payments are accepted in cash, or check made payable to the ICCSD Music Department. The funds taken in are used for piano tuning and instrument repairs. Complimentary passes are available for the families of students on free or reduced lunch.
