SOLON– Our Lord’s Church will hold its ninth annual Fall Festival Saturday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the church, located at 131 N. Market St., Solon.
A soup luncheon will start at 10:30 a.m. serving homemade chili, chicken noodle, and chicken tortilla soup, along with hot dogs and chili dogs. The bake sale will include Kolaches, pies, cakes, cookies, bars, some candy, fresh farm eggs, bread from the Sykora Bakery and other member specialties. The church will again be selling Dutch Letters, a pastry from Pella, and fresh cheese curds from the Kalona Cheese Factory. Both of these items are available by advance orders (See the form in the NoJoCo, Solon Economist and North Liberty Leader). All orders must be received and paid for by Oct. 14. Many crafts, gift items, costume jewelry and Dee Meister’s beautiful photo note cards will be available.
Come with family or a friend anytime and enjoy one of the many sweets along with a free beverage. It’s a great place to meet friends or family for lunch.
