SOLON– Solon Football Club invites you to participate in supporting Hope Lodge of Iowa City at Solon’s final home game of the season on Friday, Oct. 11. The Russell and Ann Gerdin Hope Lodge in Iowa City offers a private room for the comfort of its guests and their caregiver. Fostering a home-like environment, the Hope Lodge is equipped with a community dining room, kitchen, family room, library, exercise area and laundry facilities. The lodge also offers guests a wide variety of cancer programs and services free of charge that provide information, resources and support to ease the cancer journey. All money raised will remain with this local facility. Hope Lodge’s mission is to support all cancer patients in need, but a pink ribbon was chosen for this fundraiser to support October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
A limited quantity of adult size T-shirts will be available at the Oct. 1 Lady Spartan volleyball game for direct purchase. Orders must be placed and paid for by Oct. 3 to guarantee delivery on Oct. 10. This will allow you to support the cause while supporting the Spartans. Forms can also be found in the virtual backpack.
Shirts will be delivered to the school offices on Thursday, Oct. 10, and sent home with the student whose name and homeroom are listed on the order form.
Questions can be directed to Trisha Parizek (319-624-3401, ext. 1114) or Heather Pentico (319-624-3401, ext. 1127).
