Michael Andrew Andrle, 61, of Des Moines (formerly of Ely) passed away on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, following many weeks of hospice care at home. The family wishes to thank the caregivers who helped Michael remain at home. It was Michael’s wish that his body be deeded to the medical program at the University of Iowa upon his death.
Michael’s family greeted friends at a visitation to celebrate his life on Jan. 9 at the Avacentre at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids. A private gathering will be held with family and friends in Des Moines at a later date.
